Individual Giving Manager (part-time)
Could you use your Individual Giving fundraising skills to support Manchester's local NHS charity to raise money, ensuring patients have the very best treatment and the very best facilities?
This is 12 month fixed-term contract and part-time role, working 3 days per week. There's flexibility to personalise your working week to suit your circumstances and commitments.
As Individual Giving Manager, you'll put patients at the heart of every single campaign, ensuring they and their families are aware of the charity's fundraising activity.
Salary: £43,742 FTE (£26,245 actual)
Hours: 3 days per week, 22.5 hours
Location: Hybrid, Manchester and home (1-2 office days)
Benefits: 27 days, 10% pension contribution, additional NHS perks
Culture: Life and family-friendly, supportive and empowering, aiming to help you to thrive
About the role
You'll lead the Individual Giving fundraising team, both strategically and operationally, with line management responsibility for one member of staff - the Individual Giving Officer.
With strategic planning responsibility for Individual Giving activity, you'll set the team budget and schedule of appeals throughout the year. Key fundraising activities undertaken by the team include:
Direct mail appeals, email communications, the charity's lottery, gift aid, regular giving and legacies.
Here's just a handful of exciting projects you'll be involved with:
* Take the lead on MFT Charity's on-site visibility project, which includes testing contactless donation points across the hospitals.
* Review and expand the Legacy marketing offer, to improve results and include solicitors.
* Develop the mid-value giving proposition to better engage these supporters.
* Lead on Operational Priority projects to increase Gift Aid and Optimise Digital Fundraising.
* Contribute to Operational Priority projects to set up a Staff Wellbeing Fund and Optimise Use of Systems.
* Review the Christmas Cash Appeal to improve performance.
About you
You're already an Individual Giving or Legacy specialist, with a working understanding of direct marketing appeals and regular giving techniques.
You're data-driven with a passion for insight, using data to inform and improve campaigns.
We don't expect you to come with everything. This could be a brilliant learning opportunity and chance to gain experience in an NHS setting, as well as pick up take on new projects that will add to your toolkit.
You're definitely a team player. The charity has worked hard to develop a 'one team' culture and they're keen to see collaborative working across teams.
If you're as excited by this opportunity as we are, then what are you waiting for?
Please send a copy of your profile or CV to Amelia Lee at Charity People as the first step.
