Job description

We have an interim opportunity for the Deputy Chief Officer at Redbridge CVS on a fixed-term/temp basis until Friday 14th January initially, with potential to extend. The post has been designed to bring in additional capacity to the leadership team as sadly one of their senior colleagues is unwell and on long-term sick leave.

They are looking for someone with previous experience of working in a local infrastructure organisation such as a CVS, Volunteer Centre or community development charity. They must have experience in a senior management role in the charity sector, ideally as a CEO, Deputy CEO, COO or Head of/Director of a department relevant to the role. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge and understanding of human resource, operational, financial and risk management.

The role will involve overseeing their programme of support for the voluntary and community sector so they will need an excellent understanding of the sector, and ideally skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Asset-based community development
* Training
* Volunteering
* Capacity building/organisational development support

Due to the nature of the role we're looking for someone who can 'hit the ground running', ideally with previous experience as an interim/or short term contracts.
