Charity People are thrilled to be working alongside St Gemma's Hospice to support them in their search for a Senior Fundraiser (In Memory & Legacies) to help them continue to deliver an exceptional supporter experience.

St Gemma's puts care at the centre of everything it does. They care for local people who are suffering from life threatening illness as well as their friends, family, and carers either at home or from the beautiful Hospice in Leeds. They are work tirelessly to make sure local people have the care they need when they need it most.

Pivotal to the success of the fundraising team at St Gemma's is the Individual Giving team. You'll be reporting into the Head of IG and be responsible for nurturing relationships with their in memory supporters as well as promoting their in memory and legacy appeals and initiatives to a wide range of audiences.

Working as part of a lovely supportive fundraising team you'll be managing a Fundraiser (In Memory and Legacies) so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to progress to that next stage of development and get some formal line management experience.
You will get the prefect mix here, an established income stream but with the scope to put your creative stamp on things, you'll get to innovate and have a say on the campaigns you are helping deliver.

Ideally you'll have experience of Legacy and In Mem fundraising but overall we are looking for someone with strong communication skills and empathy. You'll be highly organised with strong IT skills and should have experience of creating effective marketing materials and experience of managing projects and events.

The organisation offers flexible, family-friendly working; their office base is in Leeds but they are open with hybrid office/home working mix. This role can be full time 37.5hrs or part time 30hrs. It is worth noting St Gemma's takes the wellbeing of their staff really seriously (Times best companies top 100 employer!) with loads of lovely initiatives going on including buddy schemes and meet ups with the occasional pizza, massage or ice cream thrown in for good measure!
