Charity People is pleased to have partnered with Refuge in their search for a Senior Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser. This role will focus on developing the mid-level trusts portfolio. This is a fixed term contract (until Sept 2022) with possibility for extension.
Refuge supports women, children and men experiencing violence and abuse. They are the country's largest single provider of specialist domestic and gender-based abuse services.
Refuge support around 7,000 women and children per day. They help survivors to access safety and rebuild their lives. This year, the passing of the Domestic Abuse Act marks a milestone in years of campaigning by Refuge and the wider sector, and they won Campaigning Team of the Year at the recent Charity Times Awards

About the role
You will join an ambitious and high performing team and manage a portfolio of mid-level trusts and foundations (£10 - £50K). You will be responsible for developing income by submitting successful grant
applications and providing ongoing stewardship.
You will manage an evolving pipeline with a focus of growing year on year opportunities and proactively seek new opportunities for growth.
We are looking for an experienced Trust Fundraiser with a track record of raising philanthropic income, with the ability to hit the ground running.
You will be pro-active with strong communications skills. As an experienced relationship manager, you can develop relationships internally and with donors. You will be an excellent writer, able to submit
creative and compelling grant applications.
This role would suit a candidate who is motivated by developing a portfolio and is comfortable identifying new opportunities for growth.
This is a full time, fixed term contract until September 2022 with possibility of extension for the right candidate. The salary is £33, 720 negotiable, depending on experience.
