Job description

Charity People are thrilled to be working in partnership with Contact an amazing charity working and supporting families with disabled children. The organisation is looking for a Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Officer to build on their strong trust and statutory fundraising performance.

Job Title: Trusts and Statutory Officer
Organisation: Contact
Salary: £32,200 - £35,346
Location: Old Street, Central London
Closing Date: Monday 14th October 2019

The work they do is invaluable. In 1970 the charity set themselves up as they discovered that regardless of the disability, the families had something in common and Contact initiated a supportive network in which families can get the best support.

Why this role and charity?
There is a desperate lack of services and support for the 620,000 parents in the UK who care for a disabled child. As a result, families face a huge range of challenges and many feel isolated and alone. Coping with extra financial costs and practical challenges can put an enormous strain on daily life, with families more likely to face emotional issues, stress and anxiety. The charity isn't a massive organisation where you don't see what you work does on the frontline. In this role you will see the fruits of your labour and see the tangible impact of your work.

The Head of the Trusts implement a new strategy that has led to a high performing Trusts and Statutory team which has exceeded their targets. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing team, grow and develop professionally. The charity already has a very strong and established portfolio. The role will be a 50/50 split between working on this portfolio and bringing in new business. Having experience in both fields would be desirable.

The Expectations:
* To meet and exceed personal income targets from trusts, statutory and lottery funders
* To bring exceptional management to a high-value portfolio of existing funders.
* To identify, research, pitch and secure new five and six figure funding opportunities

If you feel like it's time for a change, want to work within a successful and growing team, are a confident and established trust fundraiser then get in touch for a confidential chat. This is a genuinely a fantastic opportunity to help children and work for a very rewarding children's charity.
