Job Description

This charities story spans over 80 years, during which they have made a huge difference to the lives of thousands of former servicemen and their families. From their wellbeing services to pension advice and financial support, this charity delivers a person centred approach to support individuals and they are now looking to reach and help even more beneficiaries.

Charity People are thrilled to be heading up the search party to find this wonderful charity who take immense pride in the incredible support from their volunteers an experienced Volunteer Manager. This leadership role will oversee the management, development and expansion of the charity's National Volunteering Programme. You will be directly responsible for the volunteer database and application process where you will plot and plan recruitment based on identified needs and organise targeted campaigns.

This is an initial 12-month contract. You must have at least 3 years experience of working with volunteers in a middle management capacity. You will be a naturally encouraging and inspiring manager, who enables people to reach their full potential. You will be proactive and a highly motivated individual ready to take on a busy and varied role and will come with innovative and creative ideas to inspire and reward the charity's volunteers.

The organisation provide some fantastic staff benefits including, 36 days p/a of annual leave, enhanced maternity and paternity pay and up to 10% pension contribution from the charity. The charity has a flexible working policy and are open to the possibility of some home working.
