Job description

Are you an experienced communicator? Can you create compelling content and effective communication plans? Are you interested in using your skills to support a charity that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing?

The Charlie Waller Trust, a dynamic and growing mental health charity, is recruiting a Communications Officer who can champion our cause and brand values through the development and implementation of effective communication campaigns that engage our supporters and followers.

We’re seeking a flexible team player with a proven track record of delivering high-quality communications for a variety of channels, including website, social media and print. You’ll have strong organisational and IT skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience of CMS and managing social media accounts for business or brands. You will undertake a wide range of duties to support our communication strategy including planning and reporting on the impact of our communications; creating, commissioning, and editing content; managing social media outputs and our website; and providing advice on the Charlie Waller brand and ensuring consistency in branding and our outputs. The successful candidate will have a genuine interest in mental health issues and will demonstrate a commitment to the objectives of our charity.



The role is a full-time position based at the Trust’s head office in Thatcham, Berkshire. However, the role may be home-based for a period in line with current government restrictions. Longer term, there may be opportunities for some continued home working.
