Charterhouse is a successful and ambitious school in an inspiringly beautiful setting. Founded in 1611, it moved to its present magnificent 250 acre site near Godalming in 1872. The School has over 800 pupils aged between 13 and 18, all of whom, except for about 40 ‘day boarders’, are boarders.
The Safeguarding Assistant contributes to the provision of effective pupil safeguarding and child protection throughout the School by supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead and wider safeguarding team in their roles.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to gain on-the-job training (to DSL standard) and experience in the complex and fast-expanding world of child safeguarding. The successful applicant will be expected to attend relevant update training as required.
This is a largely term time only, full-time role, working 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday, plus additional days at the start and finish of each term.
