Passionate… professional… creative… pro-active…
Do you want to use your skills to make a real difference in the world? Through quality fundraising, Chell Perkins Ltd exists to make a very real and lasting impact on the third sector. We want to identify, partner with and nurture the next generation of potential fundraisers to see all charities have access to bespoke, exceptional and affordable fundraising support.
Personally, Stuart and I have been blessed by the charities we have worked with. They offered us training, sharpened our fundraising skills, challenged us, and invested in our ability to fundraise well: releasing us to help more individuals with deeper support.
Chell Perkins Ltd wishes to pay this kindness forwards through our Junior Fundraising Training Programme.
Break into fundraising and make a difference
If you want to use your skills to help charities, this five year training programme will teach you everything you need to know about fundraising, whilst giving you considerable on-the job training and support.
How it works:
Year 1 - Fundraising Officer: You’ll be inducted into an immersive training programme, featuring online/classroom training, self study and key textbooks. There is plenty of practical experience with trusts and foundations, event, corporate, individual donor and major donor fundraising. This is all aimed to equip you for your Certificate in Fundraising in year two.
Year 2 - Fundraising Consultant: This year you will have the opportunity to complete IOF's Certificate in Fundraising. This is the industry recognised qualification for frontline fundraisers, fully funded by Chell Perkins Ltd. It provides the theory and principles behind successful fundraising and practical skills to make an immediate impact on fundraising results. With your increased experience and knowledge, you will find yourself taking the lead more with our client’s trust and foundation, direct mail, capital and event fundraising.
Year 3/4 - Senior Consultant: By year three, you will have experienced fundraising across a diverse range of income streams. This learned experience will now see you assisting Chell Perkins Ltd with strategy formation and consultation work throughout the third sector. We will offer some candidates the chance at this stage for our Senior Consultants to enter into a Level 7 qualification either with the Institute of Fundraising or the University of Kent.
Year 5 - Principle Consultant/Team Leader: As the scheme progresses and you continue to sharpen your fundraising toolkit, you will be given the choice of two directions: working towards being a Principal Consultant or becoming a Team Leader.
Team Leader - This role will see you managing your own team of fundraisers within a speciality or sector that suits you best. You will be responsible for ensuring all output from your team is exceptional quality, bringing the best outcomes for the charities we work for. You will help to mentor and train some of the newer members of staff on your team.
Principle Consultant - You will use your skills to now lead and partner with your own charity clients. In working with charities throughout the last 4 to 5 years, you will have built relationships and grown your capacity to support organisations in a variety of ways. Chell Perkins Ltd will support you as you transform charities through professional, passionate and pro-active fundraising.
Both roles will be instrumental to ensure that Chell Perkins Ltd continues to support charities and make their Vision A Reality.
Why Chell Perkins?
At the end of this scheme you will be a fundraising expert, trained in every aspect of the job and capable of talking to clients and organisations of all shapes and sizes. But there’s much more to the scheme than the nuts and bolts. Although we are biased (of course) the Chell Perkins team are a great bunch of people to work with. We really care about your future, our clients and the world we all share. We want you to become part of the family, enjoying a sometimes-chaotic, always-caring and fully-empowering work culture that is aimed at helping you realise your own potential.
