CBUK are seeking to appoint a passionate, skilled and experienced Team Lead to continue the on-going work and development of our services across East London.

Bereavement Services Team Lead
Based: Stratford-Newham, East London
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week
Salary: £32,500 (inclusive of London weighting) p.a.

Child Bereavement UK (CBUK) has 25 years’ experience in supporting families and educating professionals when a baby or child of any age dies, or when a child is facing bereavement.

The role has two main responsibilities:

  • To lead, manage and supervise the East London Family Bereavement Service Team on a day to day basis
  • To provide direct bereavement support to bereaved families

Leading the on-going development, co-ordination, provision and evaluation of a service that ensures families and professionals can access high quality bereavement support in situations where a baby or child has died, or where children or young people are bereaved.

Providing bereavement support working with bereaved children, young people and families face to face and within groups. The role also involves delivering Bereavement Awareness sessions to professionals and holding Networking Professionals Groups along with the Bereavement Practitioners. Occasionally, the role will involve offering consultancy to professional’s i.e. debriefing, supervision, reflective practice in the context of dealing with bereavement. Appropriate training will be given.
