Job description

Trusts and Grants Fundraiser
Reporting to:
The Trusts and Grants Manager
Location: The role has flexibility with home or office working available.
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We help children and young people (up to age 25), parents, and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. We also provide training to professionals, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Are you an experienced Trust Fundraiser with a proven track record and fed up with churning out applications? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a charity at a time of growth and evolution.

As the new Trust Fundraiser, you will join an established and successful team specialising in trusts and grants work. Our dynamic team has fundraised for a range of innovative and transformational projects across the UK to improve the lives of bereaved children and families.

By working closely with our operational colleagues and being involved in project design and development, you will be able to influence the charity’s future work. You will need to turn complex project information into compelling funding proposals using creativity and innovation. By creating focused asks and prioritising funder relationships you will impact on the lives of thousands of bereaved people across the country, many of whom have found their bereavement interrupted and affected by the challenges of Covid-19.

Using your excellent relationship-building and communication skills you will work cross-organisationally with both bereaved people and our staff to maximise opportunities, and work to raise vital funds from family and corporate trusts, government bodies, and lottery funders. The role has flexibility with home or office working available.

Child Bereavement UK recognises the positive value of diversity, promotes equality and challenges discrimination. We welcome and encourage job applications from people of all backgrounds, particularly where we are under-represented; currently, this includes disabled people, LGBTQ+ and those from Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) groups.

Closing Date: Monday 13th December 2021
Interview Dates: Thursday 16th and Friday 17th December 2021 (by Zoom)
