Job description

As we approach our 55th Anniversary year, the Child Poverty Action Group is going from strength to strength. We have a new brand, look and feel, a new building and a highly-skilled and motivated staff group. We aspire to make CPAG an organisation that is seeking to set the standards for a charity of our size. We have a proud track record of achievement, including the establishment of Child Benefit, changing the law to improve social security rights for families in poverty and winning the Child Poverty Act. We are ambitious, forward-looking and innovative. We have offices in London and Glasgow.

Based in our London office, the Director of Finance and Resources reports directly to the CEO and, as a member of the senior management team, plays a lead role in the operational management of CPAG.

Responsibilities include providing the management team and Board of Trustees with regular financial reports and forecasts on the financial performance of the organisation.

The post holder manages the teams responsible for Finance, Fundraising, Facilities, Information Technology, Personnel and Administration.  They also manage relationships with CPAG’s bankers, auditors, solicitors and other professional advisors.
