About us

For over 75 years Christian Aid has been providing practical support to meet the social and economic needs of the most vulnerable and marginalised; we have responded to the emergency needs of people and communities displaced by conflict and disasters; exposed and challenged the root causes of poverty and supported the building of local agency. We have done so standing in solidarity with others across the world, alleviating suffering, saving lives and restoring dignity, and building a movement for justice for all. Christian Aid's desire for justice places the rights, needs and hopes of others on a level with our own. We partner with communities, local actors, churches, supporters and donors to tackle inequality in all its forms and to respond to humanitarian needs. Our partnerships focus is on ensuring that affected populations are actively included as agents of their own development.
