About the role

The Head of Business Operations & Insight is part of the SMT of Fundraising & Supporter Engagement (FSE) and leads the division responsible for enabling FSE to deliver maximum impact with its resources (Department budget circa £14 million).

Key Responsibilities

-Helping make sure the overall fundraising department runs more effectively and efficiently, with resource allocation decisions based on evidence

-Using strategic planning and reporting to ensure goals and objectives are met.

-Planning/budgeting and monitoring/reporting work effectively across the department and in collaboration with colleagues in other departments.

-Making sure the CRM project is steered effectively, integrates well with other key projects and that the project delivers on time, on budget and on benefit

-Utilising data selections and analytics to continually improve and update team strategies, projects and activities for maximum impact and success

Experience Required

Essential

-Experience in financial and operational planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting.

-Experience of CRM initiatives and database management (ideally with some implementation experience)

-Experience in developing and understanding audiences and target markets.

-Leadership and management experience of complex organisations with a large number of staff and volunteers, including distance management and matrix management

Desirable

-Experience of qualitative and quantitative market research projects, including developing research briefs; experience writing and analysing surveys

-Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack (SQL / SSRS / SSAS)
