This is a 2 year FTC at 21 hours a week. Salary advertised is full time equivalent. This role can be based in any UK office, but if based in the London Office, pro-rated London Allowance will be added to the salary.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to provide programme oversight and management to Christian Aid's In Their Lifetime (ITL) 2.0 initiative, a strategic programme supported by funds provided from a group of philanthropic supporters. The funds raised for the ITL programme are invested into projects which have both direct programmatic impact, and support a broader learning agenda, to drive best practice approaches in Christian Aid's programming and beyond.

You will have experience in strengthening programme quality specifically within programme design, monitoring and reporting. You will be confident in building upon programme learning, sharing good practice and influencing programme design and advocacy agendas. You will work closely with Christian Aid's programme teams around the world, ensuring they are supported and capable of delivering effectively. You will be confident in working across teams, bringing people together to ensure strong outcomes.

You will be a strong communicator and confident in representing the organisation and the ITL programme as appropriate.

About you

What is essential

You will be:

-Educated to degree level; hold recognised qualification in development or a related subject;

-Extensive programme cycle management experience

-Proven analytical skills and ability to problem solve complex issues.

-Proven skills in influencing negotiation, analysis, project and budget management.

-Clear leadership skills and the ability to effectively delegate, motivate and encourage responsibility in others.

-Outstanding communication and networking skills

-Excellent writing skills.

-High numeracy and understanding of financial controls and procedures.

What is desirable

You will be:

European language skills in French and/or Spanish
