Flourish is a growing charity with a small, friendly staff team working at the Sydni Community centre in Leamington Spa, making a big impact on the self-esteem and mental wellbeing of girls aged 10-18 as well as providing support to families, communities and schools.
This role is part-time with term time only working, and is based at our Flourish office, with opportunities for personal and professional development.
Person Specification
Knowledge and Experience
● Minimum 1 year of experience working in an administration role (or role with these as a significant element) is essential
● Experience of financial administration/bookkeeping is desirable
● Experience of using Xero or similar accounting software is desirable
● Working as part of a team to achieve specific goals within given deadlines
● Supervising/managing volunteers
● Voluntary experience working with young people
● Compiling numerical and literary data into succinct and informative reports and reviews
● Knowledge and understanding of working with confidential data, and Privacy and Confidentiality

We have a great opportunity for someone with the necessary qualifications and attributes to join our accounts team. Serving as the Team Leader the successful candidate will work alongside the existing team and report to the Executive Director. We are seeking an enthusiatic candidate to take overall operational management and administrative responsibility for internal and external venue bookings, principally at St George's Centre and St George's Church Leeds. With support for the Events Coordinators at other venues in Leeds for which St George's Church has responsibility (currently Holy Trinity Boar Lane and St Augustine's Wrangthorn).

- Recruit, support, train and encourage local volunteers from the host parish and across the deanery to grow mission and ministry with children and their families - particularly with those not yet engaged in their local church community.
- Develop and resource a youth group in the local parish church, and a Messy Church worshipping community.
- Bring to life new volunteer-led initiatives for engaging children and their families with their local church community.
- Catalyse the launch and ongoing development of a new intergenerational worshipping community in the wider deanery, with support from an existing Children and Families Mission Enabler (CFME) and local stakeholders.
- Identify and enable ways in which volunteers from across the deanery could work together fruitfully.
- Identify training needs for volunteers in collaboration with the diocesan Flex Pathway.
- Support and model a culture where children and families are integrated throughout the church and community and where children of all ages are valued and given opportunities to share in ministry and mission.
- Work with the Area Dean to understand potential opportunities in the deanery and identify which parishes will most benefit from CFM support.
- Meet regularly for reflection and supervision with the local supervisor, and line management from the Mission Support Developer CFME.
- Manage the delivery of the CFM project within the parish and deanery and be responsible for gathering and delivering feedback and evaluation, updating plans and communicating clearly with all key stakeholders.
- Participate in a relational and learning community with the existing CFMEs from across CofE Birmingham.
- Uphold high safeguarding standards, supported by the CofE Birmingham safeguarding team.
- Contribute to parish, deanery and diocesan life in other ways as agreed with your line manager, Mission Support Developer CFME.

Key Responsibilities
Personal Administration Support
- Manage the Chief Executive’s diary, optimising the efficient use of time and resources through effective planning and ‘gate-keeping’ in a relational style that represents the charity’s values
- Ensure all necessary briefing papers and documents are compiled for the Chief Executive in good time in advance of meetings
- Prepare and present excellent Powerpoint and other presentations for internal and external audiences, e.g., meetings with donors, trustees and other key stakeholders.
Governance Support
- Co-ordinate and attend Trustees’ meetings, including arranging dates, preparing papers in advance, taking and sending out minutes
- Administrate the Investors’, Communications, Fundraising, Strategy and Finance, and other Trustee Steering Groups
- Support with various ad hoc projects to enable robust organisational governance
- Coordinate the Strategic Delivery team monthly meeting, and Senior Leadership Team weekly meeting, including organising meeting dates, preparing agendas and sending out minutes, as well as ensuring follow-up actions are completed

Our Youth and Community team based at our North Bristol Hub in Lawrence Weston are looking for a special, talented, and adaptable Youth Worker, to help us strengthen and sustain our range of community and targeted youth programmes across Lawrence Weston, Shirehampton, Sea Mills, Henbury and Avonmouth. You will work alongside our Lead Youth Worker to:
· design, plan, and deliver weekly open access session for young people in Lawrence Weston
· deliver high quality 1:1 service through our Bridging programme across North Bristol
· deliver innovated activities for young people in the community in line with the city-wide Youth Vision.
We are looking for individuals who have:
· Experience of working alongside other statutory and voluntary organisations.
· Able to work a minimum of two evenings per week.
· Previous experience in implementing youth programmes.
· Knowledge of safeguarding practices with young people.
While a relevant qualification in Youth & Community Work would be desirable, we are open to applicants with significant experience instead.
