This varied role uses event and programme management skills to deliver excellent service in a fast paced environment within the Christian sector as we advance the work of The Maclellan Foundation, one of the largest Christian family foundations in the USA. The successful candidate will have excellent administration skills, with a minimum of 2 years experience, and will be engaged in the Christian faith and excited by the aims of the organisation.
Objectives/Key Tasks:
To provide event and project-specific administrative support in an accurate, timely and professional manner, including:
- Planning and co-ordinating multiple programmes, to ensure milestones are met to an excellent standard
- Conducting research, assembling and analysing data to prepare reports and documents
- Preparing and editing written correspondence, communications, presentations, publicity etc
- Managing booking and registration processes
- Managing and updating various databases on a regular basis
- Onsite event management; helping set up and run events as well as providing delegate support
- Providing customer service support, via phone and email
- Managing and maintaining schedules, appointments and travel arrangements
- Arranging and coordinating meetings, including minute taking
- Reviewing operating practices and implementing improvements where necessary
- Processing expenses and maintaining project budgets in liaison with the Finance Manager
- Providing administrative support to the Director and all projects and events undertaken by NJC
- Website oversight and any other duties as required

Office Administrator - Donor Communications and Volunteer Liaison
Friends of the Holy Land are looking for an energetic, dedicated individual to join our fast-moving, growing charity.
Friends of the Holy Land has a small network of volunteer supporters around the country and an expanding number of financial donors. This new role will be responsible for communicating with these two communities, with a focus on preparing monthly emails to supporters, monitoring and moderating social media accounts, liaising with external partners to deliver external communications, developing donor stewardship and growing our volunteer network.
The role will also be required to help with regular office duties and will need to be familiar with all aspects of administrative support for the operational success of the charity. You will need to be comfortable working in a faith-based organisation, talking to supporters across the UK and with our partners in the Holy Land, and be competent in creating communications.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Office experience
- Must have strong computer skills using Microsoft office (ideally Office 365). CRM training will be provided as necessary
- Excellent written and verbal communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to proof-read with attention to detail
- Ability to write and design short communications, e.g. emails, posters (ideally)
- Pro-active with the ability to multi-task and work independently and with changing priorities
- Confident phone manner and a friendly demeanor - be a 'people person'
- Be comfortable working in a faith-based environment
- As part of a small team, a problem-solving, can-do attitude is necessary along with an unflappable demeanor
- Experience of CRM systems helpful but not essential
- Experience managing Social media accounts desirable
This is a full time post and will be office based in an easy location with parking.
