We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to join the Church & Supporter Engagement Leadership Team in this maternity cover role to help with this exciting vision.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading the development and delivery of a cost effective individual donor recruitment strategy
• Recruiting new individual donors, targeting individuals who have greatest potential to continue their support for the work of Tearfund throughout their lifetime and by engaging in whole life response
• Align fundraising activity with wider vision, mission and brand identity

The successful candidate will:

• Experience in the charity sector in a fundraising or marketing leadership role
• Multi-channel marketing experience across a variety of media channels including digital marketing, social media, PR, OOH, TV and radio. 
• Strong experience of managing creative, media and digital agencies to deliver campaigns and achieve numerical and fundraising targets
• Experience in KPI tracking and analysis
• Strategic thinker who sees the big picture, capable of adapting tactics to maintain focus on delivering the high level strategy
• Good track record of managing budgets over £1m
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects
• Significant experience of project managing multi-channel projects with multiple stakeholders.

This is a fixed-term 12 month maternity cover role, with an expected start date at the beginning of August 2024. This is a full time role 35 hours per week.

This role will focus the majority of their time on the acquisition of new donors. The team works on an agile basis and there is an expectation that the postholder will develop skills in our four key fundraising domains (acquisition marketing, retention marketing, church & community engagement, legacy & in memory fundraising) and support the execution of marketing campaigns and activities in each of these areas as required.

Key areas of focus in the Acquisition Marketing domain are:

• recruiting new individuals with optimal lifetime value to Tearfund through integrated campaigns using a range of above the line, direct marketing and digital marketing channels
• helping to achieve challenging annual targets for new supporters in line with UK fundraising strategy
• Project managing the implementation of campaigns and messaging to achieve donor recruitment targets

Senior Marketing and Communications Officer

We are seeking an experienced individual to develop our marketing and communications function and to help build our reputation as a centre of excellence in biblical studies. This is a varied and exciting role within a vibrant and ambitious small charity.

Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.

Working collaboratively across our small Communications and Development team, the post holder will develop, deliver and co-ordinate an integrated and effective marketing and communications plan. He/She will oversee day-to-day marketing activities and track their success and will help to deliver communications which are both engaging and professional.

The successful candidate will have an established track record of marketing and communications work, including digital and social media, and an ability to write and edit copy for different audiences. General administrative skills and an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages are essential. Training in software relevant to the role as well as mentoring and development opportunities will be offered.

The ideal candidate should be able to think strategically and manage multiple projects and tasks at a time. He/She should be passionate about making biblical studies accessible, be a willing team player and have the ability to relate well with staff and the general public.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for digital communications and creating engaging content for digital and social platforms. The Digital Content and Communications Officer (DCCO) reports to the Digital Communications Manager and has responsibility for the SAT-7 UK website, digital marketing and social media. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Website: Developing and updating SAT-7’s websites as inspiring platforms to raise profile, income and engagement.

Emails: Work with colleagues in the Communications Team and across the organisation to build, test and send responsive email templates for all SAT-7 UK’s email requirements (meeting SAT-7’s brand guidelines and conforming to industry standards). Use email marketing tool DotDigital to develop automated communications that strengthen supporter engagement and convert recipients into committed donors.

Content: Deliver engaging and inspiring rich media content across a range of digital channels, including web, email, social media and other digital marketing platforms. 

Social Media: Work closely with other team members to deliver strong social media content and engagement across various platforms, chiefly Facebook, Instagram, X, YouTube, LinkedIn.

Marketing: Support the digital marketing of SAT-7 resources and campaigns through social media advertising, external agencies and other channels as required, to engage more deeply with existing supporters and donors, acquire new supporters and to raise funds for SAT-7 UK.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• In all communication ensure consistent messaging, branding and tone of voice for the intended audience and that content conforms to the security and style guides.
• Use Customer Relationship Management systems to ensure efficient and secure storage of information.
• Assist members of the team in responding appropriately to communications from supporters and other organisations.
• Liaise with SAT-7 staff from other offices to share ideas and resources.
• Assist the Digital Communications Manager and represent SAT-7 UK at conferences and events as required.
• At all times operate within relevant statutory requirements and guidelines, following best practice recommendations wherever possible. Specially ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator and General Data Protection Regulations.

Aid to the Church in Need is a Catholic charity, supporting persecuted and suffering Christians around the world.

Working alongside the existing Community Fundraiser in London, this role will engage with the Dioceses in Westminster, Brentford & East Anglia to establish and strengthen links to individual bishops and diocesan communications staff. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer and/or journalist to tell the stories of SAT-7 and the people of the MENA in fresh and powerful ways. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, creative environment as part of the Communications & Resources Team, delivering high quality content across a range of platforms. You’d be writing engaging podcast and video scripts, informative press releases, powerful viewer testimonies, inspiring articles for our website or print magazine, political briefings, and attention-grabbing email copy. You’ll be one of the main points of contact with our international office and Middle Eastern TV studios, gathering and repurposing impactful stories and resourcing the wider UK team.

You’d also be responsible for making SAT-7 more widely known amongst UK Christians and churches, leaders and influencers, getting SAT-7’s stories and campaigns strategically placed across print, broadcast and digital press and media. Working closely with our external PR agency, you’ll help facilitate regular media opportunities with SAT-7 UK and international spokespeople, making sure they are well prepared for interviews with the press.

The Communications & Press Officer reports to the Communications & Resources Manager.

The role of the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships is to work alongside the Director of Operations in developing the day-to-day sustainable income strategy to fund the New Wine Trust's day-to-day operations.

Partnerships

Fundraising

o Developing plans that feed into the New Wine Fundraising strategy to increase engagement from high net-worth individuals and cultivate new high-value donors.

o To manage the major donor income and expenditure budgets, ensuring all activity meets income targets.

o Championing the use of our CRM for supporter engagement.

o Reviewing, writing and submitting proposals for grant applications.

o Overseeing the delivery of the charity’s fundraising events.

 Role Particulars

Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Wednesdays twice a month.  The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance.  Specifically, the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support). 

Places of work: This role is eligible for hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the London office a week.

Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager. 

Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role.  The post holder will then receive a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms and package.

Working with two highly experienced Programme Coordinators, you will help to grow our existing Youth Development Team activities, currently present in Hampton, and continue the development of our newly launched Aspire project.

This is a maternity cover role for a minimum period of 6 months starting in June. You will be based in Peterborough but also spend time at our centre in Cambridge.

You will manage our Lead Youth Development Worker and Aspire Development Worker, in Peterborough, encouraging them to establish positive relationships with young people, from which we development activities, and provide advice and support.

Joining a growing Peterborough team, you’ll support the expansion of weekly groups, one-to-one work, family support, school-based alternative education, trips and residential experiences. Increasing partnership working with local community groups and agencies will be key to this.

Romsey Mill's Youth Development Team (YDT) works with disadvantaged, at-risk and vulnerable young people (aged 10 - 21 years) across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. YDT are passionate about supporting young people to overcome challenges, live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world. We currently engage around 1200 young people each year. Aspire is the name of Romsey Mill’s project that supports autistic children and young people. We currently deliver 14 specialist youth clubs across Cambridge, Cambourne, Linton and Hampton supporting over 180 autistic young people. We’re excited about further extending the work across Peterborough. You will work out of the office Romsey Mill rents at CSK Church in Hampton for 3-4 days per week. We utilise space there and in other community facilities for the delivery of activities. You will also spend 1-2 days working from Romsey Mill Centre, Cambridge.
