As a registered charity, CAP firmly relies upon vital background functions in order to deliver its continued success. The Charity’s finances require accurate budgeting, accounting and reporting in accordance with the relevant Charity Commission requirements. Due to project work being undertaken by the existing busy Finance team, a temporary vacancy has arisen in the Charity Finance team for a management accountant to lead on the preparation of monthly Income and Management Accounts, the updating of budgets, and preparation of the 2019 Annual Accounts.
The role will report to the Head of Finance and will be responsible for leading on the preparation of monthly Income Reports, monthly Income & Expenditure Reports and Balance Sheets, the preparation and updating of Budgets, and preparation of the 2019 Annual Financial Accounts.
The role will also be responsible for reviewing prepayments, accruals and other journals prepared by colleagues and provide variance analysis of Income, Expenditure and Balance Sheet items. The role will be expected to liaise effectively with budget holders across the Charity.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced management or financial accountant to gain, or consolidate, experience in Charity accounting.
