The role of Communications Officer is key to engaging new supporters as well as informing existing ones and we know to do that we need to use every possible tool we can including social media.
In this role you will need to ensure that we are engaging in a range of social media channels in ways that are appropriate to our audiences and the users of those channels, and will build on foundations laid over the past few years. You will be expected to be familiar with a range of channels and plan campaigns to raise profile and engage support. You will also be responsible for co-ordinating and planning how Church Army is represented at selected public events, which are designed to raise profile and begin supporter journeys.
The successful candidate will be a gifted communicator who shares our belief in what we do and why we do it, as well as being experienced in using digital media. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who can work collaboratively both inside and external to Church Army.

Due to the responsibilities of the role there is an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder has an active faith in Jesus, demonstrated by an involvement in a local church and agreement with the vision and values of Church Army.
