Job description

As the work and witness of Church Army grows, we need to raise up a new generation of supporters, enthusing them about what we do, and establish meaningful relationships with them that will last. The Communications Team play a huge part in shaping our message and getting it placed where people can hear about our stories of lives transformed, advocate for our work, and be valuable supporters too. 

As Marketing & Communications Officer you will support the Marketing Manager in delivering the message of our work to audiences internally and externally, and across a wide range of media, to develop and lead the delivery of Church Army’s communication strategy. You need to be able to understand how our values shape our behaviours, the breadth and impact of our work, our key audiences and deliver material that aligns with this and demonstrates with this. Therefore, you will need to be able to share our belief and be passionate about what we do and the difference it makes. 

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in the field of marketing or communications;
  • Able to write creatively for different media channels & audiences;
  • Able to respond sensitively to the needs of different projects within Church Army;
  • Creative, adaptable, collaborative and engaging.
