Job description

Junior Graphic Designer

A part-time opportunity has opened up in the communications team for a Junior Graphic Designer. The post holder will be a vital part of the communications team, who are the guardians of the CMS story. S/he will help the team make a case for mission through creating graphic design elements for print, online and multimedia content: stories, prayer materials, fundraising appeals, church presentations, email updates, social media calls to action, promotional flyers, annual reviews, you name it. All work will be subject to the usual review systems that operate within the communications team.

The Junior Graphic Designer is a permanent, part-time role (14 hours per week), with a starting salary of £10,884 per annum (£27,210 full time equivalent), and a generous pension scheme contribution. The role will be based at CMS House, Oxford.

It is essential that the successful candidate is educated to a graduate level or equivalent experience, with at least one year of proven experience of effective multi-platform graphic design, either as in-house staff or in a freelance capacity.  S/He will be competent in Adobe Creative Cloud software package (including InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator), Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint, digital graphics and publications layout, able to work accurately, under pressure and to deadlines. It is also a requirement for this post holder to be a committed and practicing Christian, also committed to CMS’s values and aims, which are detailed on the website.
