An opportunity has opened up in the communications team for a Social Media and Communications Assistant. The post holder will be a vital part of the communications team, who are the guardians of the CMS story. As we look to improve and expand our digital marketing in the future, s/he will work to drive up our social media engagement as well as handling some essential administration involved in communicating to current and potential audiences.
The Social Media and Communications Assistant is a fixed term, 28–35 hours per week role, with a starting salary of £19,736 – £24,670 per annum (pro-rata), and a generous pension scheme contribution. The role will be based at CMS House, Oxford 1–2 days per week and the rest is flexible and open for home working.
The successful candidate will have a good level of education including good GCSEs in English and Maths. They will have experience in social media content production and administration in an organisational context, as well as some administrative experience in a team environment, ideally including database work and minute taking. S/he will have a high level of creativity, the ability to adapt content for different audiences, excellent organisational skills, the ability to multi-task and proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office and database programmes, as well as demonstrable abilities pertaining to our main social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
It is also a requirement for this post holder to be in sympathy with the aims and values of Church Mission Society, which are detailed on the website.
