The Church of England Education Office is a public facing operation through which the Church of England engages within the educational landscape. It is a combination of the work of the National Society (NS) and the Archbishops’ Council’s (AC) work in education and through the NS, a strategic plan has been developed and agreed for the education office’s work. The strategic plan has three elements: “Developing Leaders, Shaping Policy and Growing Faith”. Each of these three areas are held together as a coherent whole since the development of leaders is vital to the successful delivery of policy and Growing Faith.
The Head of the Growing Faith Foundation will lead the successful launch, development and implementation of the Growing Faith Foundation.
We are looking for an outstanding Head of the Growing Faith Foundation to recruit, shape and lead a dynamic team to engage with dioceses, churches and schools.
You will enable the prioritisation of ‘younger and more diverse’ as part of the Church of England’s national strategy and ensure the Growing Faith Foundation supports mission with children and young people towards a doubling of the number involved in active Christian discipleship.
An exceptional leader with the ability to develop relationships with trust and credibility, you will build on the success of the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership and catalyse major culture change.
The National Church Institutions are taking a flexible approach to work, with many teams opting for a hybrid approach to their working week, with a mixture of home and office-based working. Details about working arrangements for this post will be discussed further at interview.
