Job description

Lambeth Palace is an exciting and vibrant ‘community of communities’. Working here provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the ministry of an internationally significant religious leader in a friendly, busy, fast-paced and dynamic office. The team at Lambeth Palace works collaboratively with colleagues throughout the National Church Institutions (NCIs) and beyond; we thrive at supporting each other at busy periods with flexibility and good humour.

Introduction

This role represents a unique opportunity as you will be providing high quality support and administrative assistance to the Archbishop of Canterbury.

As Personal Assistant, Archbishop of Canterbury’s Private Office, you will also provide PA support to the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Personal Private Secretary and to the wider team.

The Church of England is for everyone and we want to reflect the diversity of the community the Church serves across the whole country.  This is a priority for Archbishop Justin.  Therefore, while of course we welcome all applications from interested and suitably experienced people, we would particularly welcome applicants from UK Minority Ethnic Backgrounds and disabled people.

You will be based at Lambeth Palace although currently, employees are working remotely due to Covid-19 restrictions. You may sometimes be able to work remotely, however because of the nature of the role, please expect to work from Lambeth Palace for the majority of your working week, when government guidance permits.

A comprehensive and supportive induction programme will be put in place to ensure that you have all the information, access and contacts required to learn quickly and excel in this role.

Interviews are expected to be held on Weds 9th February 2022.

In return we offer a unique environment with opportunities for continuous learning, generous annual leave for work life balance, season ticket loans and a range of benefits including discounted entry to attractions and what we feel is a market leading package when it comes to our pension scheme.
