Job description

Role Purpose

The Head of Comms, in close collaboration with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, will devise, drive and implement a communications strategy for CRT, the #LoveYourNeighbour national campaign, and the HTB Network including an annual communications calendar with most appropriate communication channels. They will oversee and be responsible for all media assets including website, print media, film and social media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight, delivery and implementation of comprehensive communications strategy for CRT, LYN and the HTB Network
  • Development and evolution of CRT, LYN and HTB Network branding, website and social media platforms, in partnership with designers, developers and creative agencies where appropriate
  • Content creation and oversight for all external communications and channels
  • Development, oversight and delivery of annual communications plan for all stakeholders
  • Project delivery of CRT/LYN printed assets, donor brochure, magazine, case studies, banners
  • Oversight and delivery of CRT/LYN film (working with partner agencies)
  • Oversight and point person for hiring external designers, film companies and photographers
  • Oversight of excellent CRT/LYN photo library of buildings, Network teams and events.
  • CRT team training on social media and network support on comms and marketing


Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience


  • 3+ years Marketing / Communications experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication, particularly copy writing skills
  • Experience in overseeing media and design projects including websites
  • Experience in team management
  • Highly organised with experience in managing timebound projects to budget
  • Proficient with media and design programs (Adobe suite)
  • Experience of working in a church environment
  • Knowledge of HTB and its network
  • Self-sufficiency and initiative with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Passion for the Church and Church planting

Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience with photography and film, including editing
  • Experience of working for or attending an HTB Network church
  • Knowledge of CRT's activities and HTB's Church planting history
