Senior Technical Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Technical Manager, ideally a CPFA, to join our Policy and Technical team. Contributing to a proactive programme of technical development which positions CIPFA as a leading provider of public financial management expertise.

Senior Technical Manager Responsibilities:

- Managing the technical accounting team to deliver secretariat support to identified accounting standards bodies and CIPFA faculties, panels and boards as required.
- Representing CIPFA on national and international standard setting bodies giving expert advice and subject leadership.
- Providing an expert research resources and developing CIPFA’s technical policy positions, standards, professional guidance, publications, commentary and thought leadership pieces.

Senior Technical Manager Requirements:

You will be dynamic, confident, and driven with excellent interpersonal skills. You will have significant experience of working at a senior level with technical expertise and practical experience of supporting communities of professional practice.

As well as contributing to the development of international standards, we provide specific support to standard setting in local government, accounting, charities accounting, internal audit and public financial management and governance.

Job type: Full time, Permanent, 36 hours per week

Salary: up to £65,000 per annum

Benefits: 25 days annual leave, upto 10% employer's pension contribution
