Citizens Advice Bucks is an advice charity that helps over 10,000 people a year with problems they're facing in their lives. Whether that is helping someone who has lost their job, been discriminated against, or is having problems claiming benefits, they're on the verge of losing their home, or homeless, or suffering from any kind of problem in their lives (for example addictions, domestic violence or mental health), we are here to help. We also campaign and lobby for social and policy change to reverse or change policies in Government, using our influence and intelligence on the ground to campaign.
Our social media channels reach over 200,000 people per year and we are looking for someone who can work alongside our comms officer to lead on developing our new Instagram, TikTok and contribute to our Facebook and Twitter management. For this volunteer role, we are looking for someone who is really happy posting in these channels and understands how we can maximise our presence. You will have support of our Comms team to develop and lead this work, which largely involves designing creative and engaging content and posting regularly.
Our volunteers can work flexibly, either in any of our Citizens Advice offices, or from home, or a mixture of both. Our only requirement for this role is the ability to converse in plain English and a beginner's understanding of Instagram and Tiktok. We will help you every step of the way. We are committed to the development of our volunteers and have over 60 working in our service alongside our paid staff to deliver extraordinary services that are changing lives every day. We can provide full training in house and with external training providers.
