Based in Guildford with occasional meetings in London and Surrey with some flexibility to work from home as appropriate
COVID-19 has had a profound impact on the delivery of our advice service. Supported by a committed staff and volunteer team we have mobilised homeworking to continue helping local people in need by phone and email during this period. Undoubtedly the landscape for local charities like us has dramatically changed and we are looking for a dynamic and innovative leader who can navigate us through the next steps of our COVID-19 recovery.
Reporting to the Trustee Board you will have overall responsibility for the quality and delivery of advice provided by CAG, ensuring that we meet the standard required under the performance and quality framework (PQF) and the objectives of the strategic business plan.
Your direct reports will be the Deputy Chief Officer and Advice Services Manager who will have day-to-day responsibility for managing service delivery.
You will have specific responsibility for all external liaison and activity and will be a proven relationship builder who has exemplary interpersonal skills to strengthen our reputation. Our network includes national Citizens Advice, other local Citizens Advice, Guildford Borough Council (our main funder), other funders and stakeholders and the local community.
You will have a proven track record of maintaining and developing funding streams to enable continued support for our core service along with specialist projects to meet local advice needs.
You will ideally have managed or been a key influencer in a significant transformation project.
