Homeworking – option to be office-based in Hounslow
Citizens Advice, provide a freephone helpline for people in need of advice, including help to those needing food parcel from their local food bank. As part of the process, it provides information and advice on the issues that are causing financial hardship in order to move the client forward.
We now have the opportunity to expand our team of helpline advisers.
- Establish clients’ needs including their ability to afford food by carrying out a full exploration of the cause of financial hardship
- Do a benefit check and give information and advice on the issues identified
- Issue foodbank voucher where appropriate and/or signpost to local services
- Write up case notes to Citizens Advice national standards
The Advisers are provided with close support from our Supervisors, have access to our wealth of resources and are an integral part of the Citizens Advice Hounslow team.
There are two vacancies of between 2, and 3 days. We can offer more days up to a full time, in this role or in another role at generalist level, depending on experience and preference of the successful candidates.
This role is well suited to remote working but advisers will have the opportunity to be office based should they prefer once we reopen our sites. We will provide a suitable laptop and headset.

Interview date: The test and interview date will be arranged directly with shortlisted candidates.
There will be a two stage process with Test (mock client call and write up) with successful candidates progressed to interview.
