Citizens Advice Rural Cambs (CARC) is a local charity based across the Huntingdonshire, and Fenland areas of Cambridgeshire. We provide free independent, confidential and impartial advice to help people solve the problems they face (including debt, benefits, housing, and employment) and improve the policies and practices that affect peoples’ lives. In 2019-2020, we helped over 10,000 local people with over 45,000 issues.
We are looking for new Trustees to join our Board of Trustees to help guide and advise us on the strategic direction and the sustainability of advice services in a challenging and changeable environment.
The post of trustee is a voluntary one. The role provides a great deal of experience and satisfaction, and the opportunity to develop skills and utilise expertise and knowledge.
You will need to be available to attend at least 5 evening meetings each year of our Trustee Board plus potentially a similar number of daytime meetings each year for a relevant sub-committee/task group, plus our Annual General Meeting and annual Trustee Away Day. You will need to be able to dedicate up to 2/3 days per month. Due to current working situations and Covid-19 the role will be home based until we can safely hold meetings face-to-face.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
