About Us

Citizens Advice Torridge, North, Mid & West Devon is a Devon-based advisory service that helps members of the public to understand, face, and deal with problems they may be experiencing.

Every year thousands of people come to us for advice and help with all manner of problems, from managing debt and household bills, to welfare and benefits.

As well as our advisory services, we deliver a broad range of projects to enrich our community. This includes Healthwatch, which helps people to shape their health and social care services, and the South Molton and Barnstaple Memory Cafés, which support those affected by dementia.

We are now looking for a part time Administrator to join our team and help us continue to provide incredible services.

Your Role

As an Administrator, you will be tasked with supporting the Chief Executive Officer as well as the Trustee Board in the day-to-day organisation and running of the office.

Specifically, you will undertake a range of administrative, document management, meeting support, reporting and correspondence tasks.

Supporting the CEO in the smooth running of the organisation, you will also:

- Take responsibility for the smooth running of H&S procedures
- Arrange Trustee Board meetings
- Preparing and circulating papers, agendas and minutes
- Produce letters, documents and reports
- Maintain statistics and collating and producing them in particular formats
- Produce information from spreadsheets and databases
- Create and upload data onto the website and intranet

About You

To be considered as an Administrator, you will need:

- Experience and the ability to provide administrative support and to maintain office systems
- A commitment and the ability to work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice Service
- A good, up-to-date understanding of equality and diversity and its application to the provision of advice
- The ability to use IT packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, database packages and the ability to use email and to maintain an electronic diary
- Good verbal communication skills, including the ability to deal appropriately with a range of people both face-to-face and by telephone
- The ability to write clearly and accurately, including drafting routine correspondence, and taking notes at meetings

This is a part time role working 21 hours per week.
