We have an exciting opportunity for 2 x Welfare Benefits/Universal Credit Adviser to join our team (available – 1 full time post/37 hours or part time/22 hours)
The successful candidates will provide end to end face to face, telephone and web chat support for Legacy Benefits and Universal Credit claimants. You will guide people through the claims process – offering tailored support to help them use the flexibilities available in Universal Credit, helping them to get their first payment on time and making sure they are ready to manage it when it arrives. You will also assist claimants with matters such as benefit calculations, form filling, reconsiderations and appeals. You will also identify appropriate referrals for advice needs outside the scope of this project.
The service will include the provision of advice, information, digital support and casework. Candidates should be able to travel within the Wakefield District to facilitate co-location working (when face to face services resume)
