We are looking for an individual with previous experience of developing and delivering training in both one-one and group settings. You will be able to analyse training needs and draft an annual training plan to ensure that our staff and volunteers provide high quality information and advice.
Able to work on your own initiative and within a team, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good IT skills, be able to undertake and check complex calculations and understand Citizens Advice quality requirements. Ideally, you will also have Citizens Advice or other social welfare law advice experience.
Hours: 36.25 per week (includes some Saturday work on rotation)
Salary: £24,000 - £25,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Leigh (and other locations across Wigan Borough)
Purpose of Role
To recruit, train, develop and supervise volunteers, placements and paid advice staff, ensuring that trainees complete the Advice Learning programme in a timely manner
Analyse and meet the training requirements of existing volunteers and staff using a variety of tools and processes to ensure that high quality advice is provided to clients
Line manage a small team of advisers under the Government’s Kick Start programme
Promote the take up of Research and Campaigns
Develop advice and information provision in the Borough, through the delivery of training to advice and information staff (including volunteers) of partner organisations
