Job description

Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. Through our national network of charities, we give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.

The successful candidate will be an experienced People Operations professional. They will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of a compliant, customer-focused team who provide operational people services to managers, employees and potential employees.

The directorate is transitioning to a model of Centres of Excellence, Business partnering and People Delivery/Shared Services.  The substantive post holder is seconded into the transformation team and the successful candidate will provide an experienced steadying hand to team management, ensuring business as usual continues, whilst enabling the team to take up opportunities to participate in the transformation work as appropriate and prepare for change. 

The successful candidate will be an experienced people manager, with skills and experiences across the full employee lifecycle and team’s multi-functional remit.  They will also have a focus on customer service, continuous improvement, provision of first line HR and Payroll advice, generating and handling data and preferably will have worked in organisations using the Ulrich model.
