Citizens Advice Hampshire wishes to recruit a Researcher, NHS hospital trusts
Flexible 3 to 4 days per week (300 hours over three months) Fixed term, home based (secondment considered). Salary £24K - £26K FTE (depending on experience)

Part time with flexible hours to ensure delivery of the objectives – up to 300 hours over three months (approx. three days per week)

Citizens Advice Hampshire are recruiting a researcher to spend time in each NHS Trust hospital, using the Macmillan Cancer Experience Survey results to target departments with low referrals to the Hampshire Macmillan Citizens Advice Service (HMCAS) and therefore increasing publicity and improving client information/referrals.

The post holder will be required to:

  • Analyse survey data
  • Develop an action plan (to include milestones and outcomes)
  • Liaise with clinical staff
  • Carry out presentations
  • Carry out publicity tasks
  • Produce reports and recommendations
  • Liaise with the Service Manager and wider team

The post holder will be required to travel to: Queen Alexandra Hospital Portsmouth, University Hospital Southampton, Basingstoke Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital Winchester, St Mary’s Hospital Isle of Wight and any other location in Hampshire (Hospice, cancer charities, other organisations etc.) required as part of this analysis.

The post holder will need to be a self-starter, with experience of managing their own workload and priorities. You will need to have excellent communication skills with an ability to analyse data and produce reports and recommendations. IT skills and ability to travel essential.
