City Bridge Foundation is a charity of over 900 years old that owns and maintains five of London’s Thames crossings, and through careful investment, also distributes over £30m to supporting charitable activity across London. We bridge London, we connect communities.
We are looking to recruit a Funding Director to be responsible for the design and development of our new funding policy. Working closely with the Chief Funding Director and colleagues within the Funding team, you will support a team of funding managers to deliver our existing strategy, whilst overseeing the design and implementation of our new funding policy. You will be highly strategic, a visionary who thinks boldly and is happy to promote new ideas and thinking. You will bring strong values, a team ethic and excellent communication skills. This is a truly exciting time to join us. We are growing in ambition, and this role represents a rare opportunity to set the funding direction of London’s largest independent charitable funder.
You’ll be passionate and experienced in developing policy that drives social change through grant making. You will bring a strong understanding of how to gather, synthesise and reflect a diversity of perspectives and needs to develop policy that is evidence based, informed by Londoners and ambitious in its objectives. You will be curious, a proactive learner, and have a sharp eye for detail. Like the rest of the team, you’ll be motivated to adopt an equitable approach to everything you do.
London is an amazingly diverse city, and we are keen to work with great people from a wide variety of backgrounds. We are a values-based Charity and welcome applications from all sectors and from people with a passion for our existing work and our future potential.
