Civitas Recruitment are delighted to be working with an UK-based international charity that runs practical education projects to help women and people who have been marginalised, often those who missed the opportunity to go to school due to extreme poverty or conflict. The charity’s projects run in partnership with local organisations in marginalised communities emphasising partnership, sustainable solutions promoting economic empowerment enabling people of these communities to gain new skills and resources leading them to healthier and happier lives. An opportunity exists for a Communications Manager to join the team and lead the development and management of the charity’s communications infrastructure. The role also includes influencing and negotiating with a wide range of stakeholders on a regular basis. It is a hybrid role which consists of home-based working and working in London.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in a communications role, preferably in the charity sector. You will have experience of developing and delivering a realistic long-term media strategy and can show demonstratable experience of tailoring complex written communications to a wide range of audiences. You will have excellent understanding of social media monitoring tools, and experience of creating social media and campaign reports. As you will be providing relevant and succinct reports, exceptional copy writing skills with unfaltering attention to detail is required.
