The charity aims to inspire and enable meaningful connections and shared experiences within communities across the UK for people over 75 facing loneliness and social isolation, ensuring people can have social lives and friendship groups however old they are. An opportunity exists for a Service Activity Manager to join the team. The role involves leading a team of staff who are committed to the experience of older people and determined to ensure that the charity offers the right opportunities to the right older people that are referred to the charity. You will ensure that all communications with older people about specific changes are clearly set out to the older people, work with the head of impact to ensure they are feeling heard and can influence their work.
Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have great understanding of and empathy with the issues affecting older people who are isolated and lonely. As you will be managing a team, experience in team leadership and desire to step up and lead projects, working groups or teams is essential for this role. You will possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills ensuring you can engage and communicate with older people and generally with people from all walks of life. An experience of recruiting, working with and supporting volunteers and older people would be a great advantage for this role.
