Civitas Recruitment are proud to be working with a dynamic charity focused on the issue of social exclusion of the elderly community within the UK. The charity is experiencing a period of positive change and at present formulating its strategy for growth and effectiveness of its services. An opportunity exists for a project support officer to join the team to help assist in the research, creation and maintenance of volunteer and user groups so crucially needed for the success of the charity. As a support officer you will also raise awareness amongst the public, voluntary sector and identify key partners/referral agencies.
Who we are looking for?
Ideal candidates will have previous experience of working with volunteer groups. You will be naturally energetic, creative, and well organised in your approach to work. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to work closely with user groups, researching and developing feedback loops. Ability to engage with and communicate appropriately with older people and generally with people from all walks of life will be a prerequisite in the role. You will also be confident using Microsoft packages. Add to this you will have great communication skills being able to work with a diverse group of people including volunteers, service users and external groups. This is a home-based role with travel in South Wales and as such having a driving licence and being able to speak Welsh will be an advantage although not essential.
