Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to support the work undertaken by the Climate Accountability team. The Legal Researcher will conduct legal and factual research on a wide range of topics to assist the Lawyers in the team with devising and implementing creative legal strategies to accelerate the low carbon transition and avoid dangerous climate change.

The Legal Researcher will report to the Climate Accountability Project Lead and work under the supervision of senior lawyers in the Climate Programme.

Role requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of climate change, climate justice or energy transition issues; together with experience of undertaking research in an academic or professional setting, preferably with good knowledge of corporate and financial laws. Excellent advanced legal research, analysis and writing skills are essential.
