We’re the Climate Venture Collective (CVC), a diverse group of entrepreneurs, thinkers, makers and doers who come together to create scalable impactful solutions to the Climate Crisis. One of our current projects is The People’s Recovery Plan. Each day we delay drastic economic and societal change, we risk the climate crisis reaching an order of magnitude which we cannot return from. We are recruiting research volunteers to collaborate and compose this proposal that sets out the steps that can kick-start the UK economy after COVID-19 lockdown measures end, whilst simultaneously making us more resilient to future crises as a nation.
Our message is clear and concise: We must tackle climate change in order to reboot the economy.
CVC is built on collective intelligence, whereby lots of people come together with different areas of interest and expertise to work on a shared project. We have already connected with the CEO of Ellen McArthur Foundation, Good Energy and Share Action on this.
We are recruiting researchers to help us find viable solutions to achieve our aims. We are looking for motivated self-starters and well organised individuals to conduct desktop research into a sustainable future; searching books, journals, media, surveys and other sources. This is a challenging role with high reward. This is an opportunity to expand your own knowledge and have your say in what the future of the UK looks like.
Identify, analyse and compile existing sustainable proposals
Compile data on new technologies and policies that will help us achieve our aims
Present your research in a written format
Assist in the development and writing of The People’s Recovery Plan
Outreach to relevant professionals to engage their endorsement of our proposal and to share their research
Ultimately, the final proposal will be endorsed by academics and then submitted publicly with intent for The People’s Recovery Plan to influence the UK Government’s post-lockdown strategy, calling for a sustainable future for people and planet. Join CVC and be a part of shaping the future of the UK.
