Job description

The PR & Engagement Manager is a key role within our charity. You will be a hands-on person, with all the experience necessary to manage, develop and implement Colostomy UK’s marketing and communications strategy.

After initial onboarding & training, you will be able to work remotely with occasional visits to the office in Reading. 

You will be responsible for ensuring that the charities services and campaigns are communicated widely and in a manner that constantly enhances Colostomy UK’s presence, reputation and profile, both within the ‘stoma’ world and more broadly in society. This will require you to be an expert in producing content for the charity’s social media platforms and website. You will have a flare for writing, but also a keen eye for spotting that misplaced comma.

You will also be involved in supporting our Fundraising & Campaigns Manager to drive our campaigns and projects for social change.  This will include managing the public face of Colostomy UK, taking ownership of all PR activities and building worthwhile relationships with the media.

You will manage our commercial opportunities (advertising and sponsorship income stream) generated from various organisations.
