About the Role:

As a global organisation, the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) operates in over 150 countries and territories. We have an exciting opportunity for a Commemorations Policy Manager within our Information and Communications Department. You will be responsible for the review, development and communication of Commemoration policies with internal stakeholders and Member Governments, and provide advice and guidance to Areas on burials, unmarked graves, Alternative Commemorations and Commission Headstone inscriptions.

To be successful within this position you will have significant experience within policy development, be highly motivated, adept at influencing and negotiating others and be an excellent communicator across all levels of the organisation.

About You:

Proven experience of managing projects to agreed deadlines

Ability to quickly grasp complex policy issues, communicating these effectively to both expert and non-expert audiences

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Strong negotiation and influencing skills

Excellent organisational skills and proven ability of attention to detail

Previous experience of Microsoft Office  

Eligibility to work in the UK
