About the RSS and this role
The Royal Statistical Society (RSS) is one of the world’s leading organisations advocating for the importance of statistics and data - and statistics and data have never been more vital. We’re looking for an exceptional, experienced writer, editor and communicator to deliver and lead our range of key platforms and publications.
Working with staff and members across the RSS, you will oversee and support projects that advance the science of statistics, bring data scientists together to share real-world problems and solutions, and make statistical tools, methods and applications understandable to journalists, policymakers and the wider public.
Head of Content is a new role for the RSS and is designed to enable a more strategic approach to the editorial work we deliver. You will coordinate content across the Society, ensuring outputs and derivative products are tailored and targeted to meet the different needs and interest levels of different audiences. Our membership and wider audiences are expanding, and the Head of Content will develop a content strategy that sets a framework for content that is aligned with RSS policy objectives and strategic goals, and targeted at and adapted for different audiences to ensure the widest possible reach.
The post will require a mix of hands-on content creation and editorial leadership. One of your first tasks will be to transition Real World Data Science, our publication for data science practitioners, to new editorial arrangements to ensure its continued growth as a platform for knowledge sharing across academia, industry and the public sector. This will also provide you the opportunity to work alongside key members and stakeholders who are leading our response to the challenges and opportunities posed by recent developments in artificial intelligence.

Our Head of Content will:

Work with wider RSS staff to develop our understanding of the preferences and needs of key internal and external audiences to better align content to those preferences and needs.

Lead the creation and delivery of a fully-costed plan for content development, maintenance and review that aligns with key strategic goals and activities.

Create or commission accurate, engaging, up-to-date and challenging content that fulfils particular editorial briefs, establishing and liaising with editorial boards to ensure technical integrity of published content.

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser, to lead on Neuroscience related fundraising for the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences as part of the friendly team working across the Medical Sciences Division at the University of Oxford.
The Medical Sciences Division at Oxford has been ranked number one in the world for the last twelve years in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for clinical, pre-clinical and health sciences. Recent accomplishments of the Medical Sciences Division include its research into the COVID-19 pandemic, most notably through the delivery of the Oxford–AstraZeneca vaccine, which is estimated to have saved over 6 million lives.
About the role:
This fundraiser will work closely with the Heads of Departments and academics in the Departments of Psychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences. The post will focus primarily on funding for research, academic posts, scholarships and infrastructure related to Neuroscience which includes Mental Health and neurological disease (e.g. Motor Neurone Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s, Stroke and Epilepsy). The fundraiser will work on special projects including the possible major capital redevelopment of the Warneford site. While an interest in medical research and neuroscience is essential, you do not need to be a sciences graduate, just an enthusiast for knowledge.

You are an experienced development professional with a strong track record of securing major gifts, a confident approach and the ability to think creatively. You will lead on major gift fundraising (£100k-£1m+) working with a range of donors (corporates, trusts and individuals).

Following a recent team restructure, we are now ready to recruit our new Head of Alumni Programming. This position is part of the Alumni Engagement team within the Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations office. The Alumni Engagement team is accountable for increasing the breadth and depth of engagement with the University's global community of over 320,000 alumni ambassadors, advocates and supporters who are critical to the delivery of our strategic goals and the University of Cambridge's significant potential.
This role will oversee a small team and report directly to the Director of Alumni Engagement. About TASO
The Centre for Transforming Access and Student Outcomes in Higher Education (TASO) is an affiliate What Works Centre, and part of the UK Government’s What Works Movement. Job Purpose
The function of this role is to work with the Head of Development to devise and implement a programme of successful alumni events and fundraising for The Glasgow Academy.
Alumni Engagement: The focus is to build positive relationships with all members of the school and wider communities, including that of the former Westbourne School for Girls. The postholder will help to deliver The Academy’s alumni engagement strategy and volunteer programme, including various events, reunions and the like, with the aim of providing a pipeline of engaged individuals willing to support the School through their time, expertise, connections and philanthropy.
Development Manager: The post holder will coordinate and support the systems and procedures underpinning the cultivation and solicitation of donors; manage a series of 1-2-1 meeting with and small cultivation events for donors/prospects and prepare appropriate communications to support the same.
The post-holder will report to the Head of Development. The Development Team sits within the External Relations office which works to support the continuing development of The Academy through admissions, marketing, alumni relations, fundraising and by promoting the school’s achievements and aspirations as a centre of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising:
· Maintain and grow relationships with key former pupils, current parents and potential donors to devise and execute bespoke programme of involvement and communication that lead to (major and regular) gifts.
· Work with Head of Development to implement specific strategies for engagement opportunities including involvement in FP programmes, invitations to events, visits to campus, and individual meetings with members of staff or Senior Leadership Team.

We’re looking for a creative and confident Content & Communications Coordinator to join our busy Marketing & Communications Team at Imperial College Union. The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - Is seeking a Content Producer to join our Digital, Brand and Marketing department, to work with the Content and Production Manager to execute an exciting new content strategy for the Academy’s outputs.
The Role
The Content Producer will work closely with the Content and Production Manager and the Deputy Head of Digital (Content and Production) to produce exciting new high-quality video, audio and written digital content as part of our new content strategy. They will be responsible for updating the website, conducting research, creating ideas for content and managing projects from conception to delivery. Through this work, the Content Producer will have the opportunity to work with leading experts in the humanities and social sciences and develop their skills in project management, relationship management, digital marketing and stakeholder engagement.
The Digital, Brand and Marketing team leads on the Academy’s digital outputs, including developing new digital assets and messaging for key digital channels. As well as working on the content strategy, the role-holder will act as a brand guardian for the Academy, advising colleagues on best practice for design and brand, and upholding the refreshed editorial and digital standards across the Academy’s digital channels.
This role sits within the Communications Directorate, comprising Press and PR, Events, Publishing, and Digital, Brand and Marketing. The Digital, Brand and Marketing team is responsible for delivering a range of content across the Academy’s digital channels, to ensure an excellent user experience and provide opportunities to showcase the Academy’s work in engaging and accessible ways. The role-holder will have opportunities to work with colleagues across the Directorate, as well as across the wider Academy, and must be an effective communicator with experience of working with a range of stakeholders.
