Lewis-Manning Hospice is already well known locally as a centre offering excellent palliative care to local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their carers, and we have recently opened our brand-new state of the art in-patient unit for end of life care, for patients in Dorset. We passionately believe in treating every person and every day as special, ensuring that each individual person knows they matter.
The Hospice is embarking on an exciting new fundraising strategy and we are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Communications Manager to join our team. Playing a key role in the development of the new fundraising strategy, you will manage the communications work for Lewis-Manning Hospice, including overseeing the development of communications and marketing plans, producing promotional materials for potential funders and stakeholders, producing our newsletters, appeals, annual review and publications.
A key element of this role is the creation and continued development of a new website, with a focus on stories and videos. You will also be responsible for creating and delivering our digital communications strategy.
You’ll need to have at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar role, with a proven track record of creating marketing and communications plans and delivering them on time and in budget. We’ll also need to see some examples of your amazing copywriting skills. You’ll need to have strong project management skills and an excellent understanding of social media channels and the printing and production process, as well as generally being a passionate, creative, friendly individual who loves to work in a team.
