Caseworker

Forces Employment Charity is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Caseworker to join our team working on the CFO (Co-financing Organisation) programme in partnership with the probation service. In this role, you will provide specialist support to veterans within the criminal justice system, focused on early intervention, support and diversion to prevent re-offending. You will work closely with probation staff, partner organisations and lead providers to identify, engage and deliver emotional and practical support to veteran clients.

This is a Full-time 35 hours per week, home based role with regular attendance at Lewisham and Croydon Activity Hubs and frequent travel throughout the UK. This role has a salary £29,000 pa.

This will be a fixed term contract till 31 July 2024.

For the CFO programme, Forces Employment Charity is working in partnership with probation service staff and other partner organisations to provide specialist support for veterans in the justice system.This support is focused on early intervention, support and diversion at point of contact with justice system in order to prevent re-offending.

This role will be responsible for researching and applying to small Trusts and managing an existing portfolio (up to 10K) alongside supporting larger grant applications where required. Furthermore you will support the migration of our CRM from Raisers Edge to Microsoft Dynamics.

The person

You will have Trust fundraising experience with excellent research and writing skills with ability to identify new Trusts to apply to, prepare accurate and compelling donor reports and case studies and be confident in approaching donors and promoting the work of Whizz-Kidz.  You will have strong donor stewardship skills with ability to tailor approaches to the needs of the donor. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

About the role:

In October 2023, the organisation began delivery of Year 1 of their West Midlands based Environmental Leadership Programme in partnership with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. At Hope4, (operating via the Hope Centre and Rugby foodbank), we believe that everyone has the right to have a place to call ‘home’, somewhere that is safe, secure and sustainable, and enough food even when in a crisis. Although Rugby is a small market town, in 2023 we supported over 190 people at our Day Centre and provided over 6000 food parcels at our Foodbank. Our staff and more than 80 volunteers are crucial to making this happen. Rugby foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust network of foodbank and operates within their operating model. The charity is founded on Christian principles and works to address homelessness and food poverty in the Borough of Rugby. Our staff and volunteers support these values and ethos irrespective of belief or background. Hope4 is the overarching charity name overseeing all operations of the Hope Centre and Rugby Foodbank.

Community Fundraiser
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week – up to 37 hours per week.
Contract: Permanent
Base: Osney, Oxford, Hybrid role (Travel Requirements across Oxfordshire and Berkshire West) 
Salary: 
- 37 hours per week = £25,500 - £27,444 (dependent on skills, experience and knowledge)
- 30 hours per week = £20,675.68 - £22,251.89 (Salary dependent on skills, experience and knowledge)

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Digital Asset Management tool, ensuring timely updates of brand assets and guidance for staff and fellows.
• Conduct induction training on the Digital Asset Management tool and brand for new and existing staff members, maintaining a comprehensive training database.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to audit and implement best practices across the organisation.

• Oversee co-branding initiatives, implementing a structured tracking and approval process.

About the role:

This gives us access to many resources and helps us have a stronger voice on young people’s issues

This new Marketing and Digital Content Creator role will work alongside the Fundraising and Communications Manager and Partnerships and Events Fundraiser. The work is varied with different events and projects arising throughout the year and the team works collaboratively to achieve targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing digital plans to grow audience engagement and brand awareness.
• Creating exciting content for campaigns, emails, social media, and our website.
• Coordinating marketing projects and print materials across different service areas.
• Leading digital marketing efforts for fundraising campaigns, including regular giving and tailored communications.
• Maintaining supportive team working and building effective relationships with staff, service users, and supporters

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

To succeed in the role of Marketing & Digital Content Creator, your key skills will include:

• A recognised formal qualification in Marketing/Digital
• Minimum level 2/GCSE in Maths and English
• Proven & relevant suitable experience in a Marketing/Digital content role
• Strong digital marketing skills, including content creation, scheduling and monitoring. Familiarity with paid digital advertising and social media platforms
• Experience of designing print and digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar design programmes
