Job Title: Admin and Project Support Officer
Salary: £24,000 per annum, 35 hours per week
Length of Contract: 18 months, with the possibility of extension
Pension Payment: CommUNITY Barnet will make a pension contribution into a workplace pension scheme
Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, excluding bank holidays
Location: Based at CommUNITY Barnet office, or any other location to be agreed, with regular travel to and within the GBL area
We are seeking to appoint an Admin and Project Support Officer who will bring their enthusiasm for community development and organisational skills to incite lasting change to the Grange community.
The Big Local is an exciting programme that aims to bring about lasting and measurable differences to communities across the UK. The 10-year initiative has provided 150 areas across the UK with at least £1m of National Lottery money, to empower communities and their residents to make a positive difference to their surroundings. The Grange Big Local project is located in East Finchley and works to promote a thriving, dynamic and caring community.
The Grange Big Local Partnership Board (GBL), in association with CommUNITY Barnet (the Locally Trusted Organisation) wishes to appoint an Admin and Project Support Officer. This will be on a fixed term contract of 18 months initially, with the possibility of extension. Located in East Finchley, North London (N2) and the offices of CommUNITY Barnet, this role would ideally suit someone who is inspired by enabling local communities to improve their local area and can communicate this enthusiasm to others.
We are looking to appoint a confident self-starter with excellent IT and organisational skills, and the ability to work to set deadlines. You will be responsible for providing all-round administration and project support to both the Partnership board and the GBL staff team. The job requires the flexibility to meet the requirements of weekend or evening work, and to work within the East Finchley area, and Barnet office when required.
