We are pleased to be hosting this post to support the work of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership.
Community First Yorkshire is supporting the work of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership, which is making a real commitment to working with the Voluntary and Community Sector in their area. This is a unique opportunity at a key moment for the NHS to maximise the impact of the Voluntary and Community Sector as an equal partner across the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership, through the “Harnessing the Power of Communities programme”. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with the credibility in both the VCS and health sectors. You will continue to build confidence in the VCS as a key partner able to contribute to the health and wellbeing of the WY&H population. The right person will have the skills and positive approach to ensure the VCS has a strong voice and visibility in the health system building on the leading edge work being delivered in this region.
As one of the most advanced systems in England, West Yorkshire and Harrogate has a vision and strong ambition to improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in the region and Harrogate. The Partnership only works together on agreed programmes that can best take place at a West Yorkshire and Harrogate level to ensure we deal with issues as locally as possible.
With a background in either the health or VCS sector you will be an experienced leader able to influence and manage change, encourage and develop new collaborative projects and advise on policy. As a skilled programme manager you will take a solutions focussed approach and use your understanding of both the health and third sector to bring together partners working to a common goal.
The Programme Lead will coordinate the delivery of a number of programmes and projects; build positive relationships across the footprint; identify and share good practice; develop collaborations; lead the development and implementation of the WY&H Third Sector Strategy; and contribute to the health related work of Community First Yorkshire.
