Job Description

Contracts and Project Funding Manager: Leeds £26,800 + Benefits

On behalf of a nationwide public sector organisation, we are recruiting a Contracts and Project Funding Manager in Leeds. The Contracts and Project Funding Manager will work across operations, finance and fundraising to maximise income, ensure compliance and raise awareness of performance. This role manages several Contracts Officers.

Main Duties:

* Ensure outcomes and targets are reported to funders and other key stakeholders
* Work closely with senior stakeholders in operations, finance and fundraising to ensure maximum drawdown of funding available and that income and expenditure targets for the projects are met
* Work with the Head of Contract Management to ensure efficient, standardised systems and procedures across all contracts regions and countries while tailoring the needs of each funder
* Contribute to internal reporting systems including forecasting, contract management reports, communications updates and project guidance notes
* Prepare claims for complex, large and direct EU funded public sector and private contracts and track the income and expenditure against these projects
* Recruit, develop, retain and motivate staff
* Develop good working relationships with funders
* Ensure recommendations from funders and internal audits are acted upon
* Ensure funding contracts are accurately recorded; Produce contract guidance to all staff ensuring contract conditions are met
* Prepare contract claims to maximise income and ensure internal financial processes are adhered to
* Prepare reports on the performance of contracts and raise issues of risk
* Review Debtors Report to ensure sufficient cash flow for the organisation

Person Specification:

* Experience of managing and motivating staff
* Experience in managing multiple public sector funding contracts in the charity sector
* Experience of using software to track and monitor contract performance
* Exposure to ERDF, ESF or Big Lottery funding
* Experience of preparing and updating funding budgets
* Financial analysis, forecasting and budgeting experience
* Experience of contracts and SLA’s
* Experience of prepayments, accruals, deferrals and restricted funds
